The Sacred Heart of Jesus is to being Light of the World, as the Immaculate Heart of Mary is to being the Salt of the Earth. Both hearts should be adored together.

Love perpetuated in living the Beatitudes
The basic circle of life is that plants produce oxygen from carbon dioxide and the animals take in the oxygen to produce carbon dioxide which the plants use. Though the plants and animals are mortal, the oxygen and carbon dioxide are perpetuated in this case. These gases make up the Earth’s atmosphere.
In the human circle of life, the baby is born with a hunger and a thirst. The baby grows through caring love to be an adult. The adult becomes a parent who in turn loves a child. Though each person dies, the love is perpetuated in human existence.
Living the Beatitudes has four circles of life in different aspects. In the heavenly aspect, the poor in spirit are children of God and live upon the mercy of God. Through love of neighbor, the merciful express God’s blessing and are blessed with mercy too.
In the past aspect, those mourning after past sins are comforted by seeing God at work in their life. Through love of God, the clean of heart deliver a better vision of God to those mourning.
In the Earthly aspect, the meek seek peace and live in peace by the grace of God. Through love of neighbor, they become peacemakers for those seeking peace.
In the future aspect, hungering and thirsting for righteousness and doing God’s will is the desire of a child of God. Through love of God, those persecuted for the sake of righteousness serve as encouragement for those who hunger and thirst for it.
In the circles of Beatific living, the love of God and love of neighbor are perpetuated as the ‘atmosphere’ in the Kingdom at hand. Love of God and love of neighbor are the two greatest commandments according to Jesus.
The odd Beatitudes – Light of the World
The poor in spirit are of the heavenly aspect being children of God. The meek are of the earthly aspect trusting in God like a child. So they are the Light of the World bringing the heavenly to Earth.
The merciful are of the heavenly aspect imitating God the Father in their prudence. The peacemakers are of the earthly aspect imitating Jesus in justice. They are called children of God as they are the Light of the World.
The even Beatitudes – Salt of the Earth
To hunger and thirst for righteousness is to desire the will of God. To mourn your sins is to avoid doing evil. They work together to make someone who is straightforward, or Salt of the Earth. Like those who endure persecution for the sake of righteousness and the clean of heart they are all driven by love of God.
Understanding the eighth Beatitude
As a demonstration of deepest love of God, does one endure persecution for the sake of righteousness. It is encouraging to those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. It perpetuates the will of God in the Kingdom at hand.
Understanding the seventh Beatitude
Peacemaking is an act of love of neighbor. It flows from the peace you find as one who is meek. It also helps those who are meek seeking peace. Love completes the circle.
Understanding the fifth Beatitude
When you have the opportunity to be merciful to your neighbor you must take it out of love. You have been treated with mercy by God as one poor in spirit. By cultivating mercy you sow mercy.
Understanding the sixth Beatitude
Out of love for God, the clean of heart have no distraction from seeing God in the world. They help those who mourn by letting them also see God in their troubled past.
Understanding the fourth Beatitude
To hunger and thirst is a primal urge. After a baby is born hunger and thirst is all they know. And it doesn’t go away until it is satisfied. This Beatitude is for a child of God to hunger and thirst for righteousness, to do God’s will. It directs their actions on a primal level.
Understanding the second Beatitude
Those who mourn will be comforted. They search for sinlessness. The past cannot be changed, you can only be comforted in that it was not wasted. It has brought you here where you have found forgiveness.
